Adobe Firefly: is it worth paying for?
Links on this page go to the company's own website. We do not currently earn from them. If that changes, this page will say "Ad" here and beside the link.
In short
Adobe's AI generator for images, video and audio, with Generative Fill. There is a free daily allowance, so try that before paying.
What it costs
- Free plan: yes, with daily generations that refresh each day. The page does not say how many.
- Cheapest paid: Standard £9.98 a month including VAT, with 2,000 generative credits a month. Pro £19.99, Pro Plus £47.99, Premium £200.40. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over.
- We found no separate paid-plan trial on the page.

Suits
People wanting a fairly cheap image tool from a large vendor that positions its output as commercially usable, and existing Adobe users.
Does not suit
Heavy video users on low tiers, because credits run out, and anyone who wants no subscription at all.
What reviewers complain about
Trustpilot shows 1.7 of 5 from only 30 reviews, a small sample, with 84% one-star. Trustpilot does not fact-check reviews. Themes, paraphrased:
- "Something went wrong" errors, with credits deducted on failed generations.
- Confusing pricing: a "free" trial that seems to need a subscription, and credits shared across Adobe apps.
